Show was great, venue was not
The show was spectacular, a 10 out of 10 across-the-board. The hosting Civic Theater about ruined the experience. Late start, people wandering in up to 20 minutes late and then a steady stream of people marching up and down the stairs in front of us for the entire show. Toddlers and babies crying, one full blown tantrum in the aisle during a big number, small children speaking at a loud decibel and narrating the whole show. Seats crammed together so that the person behind you is kicking your chair the whole time. I was so tense after the first half that the joy the show should’ve brought me was seriously dampened by the oblivious behavior of many other performance-goers and the ushers doing absolutely nothing to curb it
